This gauge allows you to shim your valve spring installed height to .815, by installing the retainer without a valve spring this gauge will fit between the retainer and spring pocket. If the gauge does not fit snug you can shim your valve spring installed height until this gauge fits tight. If you are racing Akra this is the minimum legal spring height.
